Privacy Policy

1. Who we are & scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Baloka Inc, which operates the Intellegen AI brand ("Intellegen," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit our website (the "Site"), book a session with us, subscribe to our newsletter, or otherwise interact with us.
For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Intellegen is the "data controller" of the personal information described in this policy. This policy does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to, which have their own privacy practices.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide to us
- Booking & contact details — when you request a fit check or working session (via our scheduling tool) or contact us, we collect your name, email address, company, and any information you include in your message or booking notes.
- Newsletter — if you subscribe, your email address is collected and processed by our newsletter provider.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — via Google Analytics 4, including pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location (derived from IP), device and browser type, and interaction events such as scroll depth. Google Analytics uses cookies and may process a truncated/anonymized version of your IP address.
- Business identification data — via Albacross, a B2B visitor-identification service that uses your IP address and cookies to estimate the organization a visit may be associated with (e.g., company name, industry, size). This is used for business-to-business marketing insight and is not used to identify you personally by name.
- Server logs — our hosting provider may log standard request data such as IP address, timestamp, and user agent for security and reliability.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of data (such as health, biometric, or financial account data) through the Site, and we ask that you not send such information to us.
3. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies. Non-essential analytics and visitor-identification cookies (Google Analytics and Albacross) load only after you accept them via our cookie consent banner. If you decline, these trackers do not run.
- Strictly necessary — a small local storage value records your cookie choice so we don't ask again. This is required for the consent mechanism to work.
- Analytics (optional) — Google Analytics, to understand site traffic and improve content.
- Visitor identification (optional) — Albacross, to understand which kinds of organizations engage with us.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this Site, which will cause the consent banner to reappear, or by adjusting your browser cookie settings.
4. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and schedule and deliver consulting sessions and workshops.
- To send our newsletter and relevant updates where you have subscribed or otherwise consented.
- To understand and improve how the Site is used, and to measure the effectiveness of our content.
- To understand which types of organizations are interested in our services (business-to-business marketing).
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Site.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for analytics and visitor-identification cookies, and for newsletter marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Contract — to respond to booking requests and provide services you ask for.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Site and to conduct business-to-business outreach, balanced against your rights and interests.
- Legal obligation — where we must process information to comply with applicable law.
6. Sharing & third parties
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, including:
- Google LLC — analytics (Google Analytics 4).
- Albacross Nordic AB — B2B visitor identification.
- Our scheduling provider — to manage bookings and calendar invitations.
- Our newsletter provider — to deliver email subscriptions.
- Our hosting provider — to serve the Site.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. Note that some advertising/analytics activity may be considered a "sale" or "share" under certain U.S. state laws; see Your privacy rights for how to opt out.
7. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) for such transfers.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's configured retention period. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
9. Your privacy rights
EU/UK (GDPR): you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data; to object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California (CPRA) and similar U.S. state laws: you may have the right to know, access, and delete personal information; to correct it; and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, contact us at gilbert@intellegen.ai. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
